One of the most awaited cinematic spectacles, Love And War, directed by the master storyteller Sanjay Leela Bhansali, continues to stay firmly on track. The period drama stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles and has been making headlines amid speculation about delays and discord.

Recent reports had hinted at a possible fallout among the lead actors due to the film’s shooting timeline. However, sources close to the production have now put those rumours to rest, confirming that the film is progressing as planned and remains slated for an August release.

No Fallout, Just a Planned Pause

According to insiders, the current break in shooting was scheduled well in advance. Given Bhansali’s signature grand scale and meticulous detailing, even routine pauses often spark speculation. The remaining work primarily includes patchwork shoots, select dramatic sequences, musical portions, and extensive VFX—essential elements for a period film of this magnitude.

A source from the unit clarified that there is no rift between the actors. Despite the demanding schedule, Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are said to be fully committed to the project. Filming is expected to resume by mid-January and continue through March, while post-production will run simultaneously.

What We Know About Love And War

Originally planned for a Christmas 2025 release, the film’s timeline has seen multiple speculative shifts. While some earlier reports suggested a 2026 release, the makers have yet to officially announce any change. As of now, the team maintains that Love And War will arrive in theatres in August, staying true to its current roadmap.

What’s Next for the Lead Stars

Beyond Love And War, the trio has an exciting lineup ahead. Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen portraying Lord Rama in Ramayana: Part One, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, slated for a Diwali 2026 release.

Alia Bhatt is gearing up for Alpha, an action-packed addition to the YRF Spy Universe, where she stars alongside Sharvari.
